Stefania Eugenia Popp CEO Junior Achievement Romania

Stefania Eugenia Popp is the CEO of Junior Achievement Romania. Stefania joined Junior Achievement Romania June 1997 and her work was related to the development in partnership with Ministry of Education of a complete K-12 package for public schools, based on JA Worldwide programs for applied economics, entrepreneurship, finance and employment skills education, content implemented yearly to more than 130,000 students.

From 2000-2014 she developed for Romania 435 projects related to entrepreneurship, workforce readiness, finance and CSR, in partnership with major companies. From 2005-2007 she served as International Program Director for JA Worldwide.

Stefania is expert for Department of SMEs and for entrepreneurship education and finance education curricula at Department of Education in Romania. She served as member of the working expert groups for internship and apprentice law, for business angel law. She is publisher of Bizzkit, a JA in-house social business supporting the activity of Junior Achievement in Romania which produces all materials and textbooks of JA and University textbooks and materials for Entrepreneurship education.

She is also a member of the advisory groups working with American Chamber of Commerce (IT, Public-Private Partnership and Education), Romanian Business Leaders Organisations (in Entrepreneurship and Education). She serves as CSR and Educaiton&Youth Programs consultant for major companies in Romania. She is a book publisher and media&TV producer for several educational productions in Romania.

After graduating in 1980 with an MA in Nuclear Physics from the University of Bucharest, she was Senior Researcher at the Institute for Nuclear Reactors in Bucharest for 10 years. Starting a new career path in 1990, Stefania participated in several post-graduate programs on Education Management, Business Administration and an Executive Program at the Harvard Kennedy School. Stefania Popp was awarded with Platinum Achievement Award (JAI - 2003 Atlanta, USA) and the Lifetime Achievement Award (JAW-2008 Miami, USA).
