Andrea BOCSKOR Hungary

Andrea Bocskor is Member of the European Parliament, from the European Peoples Party (EPP) since 2014. She is the Vice- Chair of the Committee on Culture and Education ( CULT) and Delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly (DEPA), a substitute Member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), and also member of the Delegation to the EU- Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee.

Before becoming a MEP, Mrs Bocskor had an academic career as a docent of the Ferenc Rákoczi II Transcharpathian Hungarian Institute in the Faculty of History and Social Sciences. Since 2011 to 2017 she led the Lehoczky Tivadar Social Research Centre. She holds a PhD in History of culture from the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. 

During her mandate at the European Parliament, MEP Bocskor focuses on issues of education, on the representation of Transcarpathian Hungarian minority in the EU, promotes rights of national minorities, the European cultural and linguistic diversity and to ensure the use of minority languages at European level. Moreover, she supports promoting youth entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education and training.
