Helena Jansson Senior Vice President, Finance - International FedEx Express

As SVP Finance – International, Helena leads the FedEx Express and TNT Express Finance teams across Europe, Asia, Middle East/Africa. Her key areas of responsibility include Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounting and Controls, Ship-to-Collect, Internal Audit, Payroll, Sourcing and Procurement as well as Shared Services and Transformation initiatives.
Helena joined FedEx in 1995 as Senior Financial Analyst, EMEA. After holding positions in different functions across the Finance organization, she became VP, Finance, EMEA in 2009. In this role she was involved in various changes within the EMEA business landscape. She led the EMEA Finance Organization throughout the rollout of Organic (station openings to expand the FedEx presence in selected European markets), India Success Plan and acquisitions. A key accomplishment has been the redesign of processes and systems redesign in Customer Financial Services (CFS), including transitioning to Cap Gemini. Under her leadership the control and accounting processes are continuously improving, where automation and moving to a functional organization structure played key parts. She furthermore connected and integrated the Domestic businesses and managed the increased Tax complexities that come with these changes.
Post FedEx acquisition of TNT, in 2015, she was appointed as VP Finance Europe for the combined business. In that role, Helena led the Financial Planning & Analysis for the Europe region, including decision support for the European businesses and was also responsible for all the Ship-to-Collect processes.
During her VP Finance assignments, Helena has always promoted the FedEx Finance Talent Management program, a program that’s close to her heart.
Prior to joining FedEx, Helena was Management Consultant in Sweden for two years, then Lead Auditor at Philip Morris in their Brussels offices for another two years.
Helena was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, but moved to Belgium about 25 years ago. Helena graduated from University of Linkoping, Sweden. She has two children, Linn (17) and Eric (14).
